1) Start and grow plants from seed in the greenhouse. 2) Try plant propagation in the greenhouse. 3) Remove the tree stump from the backyard. 4) Continue to renovate the gardens.
@Laura, I quickly grabed my camera and took a few shoots thinking that it would fly away any moment. I was quite suppried at how long the dragonfly stuck around, I quess it was enjoying that little bit of much needed sunshine. I was able to snap around it for 20 minutes, even taping it a few times as I went in for some close up shots and the wind whipping the branch around. I finally had to pull myself away to do other things.
What looks more primordial than a dragonfly? Heather, I was once floating on an inner tube down the Slocan River in Kootenay country (with a television cameraman shooting the scenery) when a dragonfly actually alighted on the tip of my big toe. Talk about perfect timing! Sometimes nature gives us very large gifts.
@Dave, That must have been a sight. Sometimes I find little critters so fascinating, just the other day I was captivated by a rather large bee buzzing about the Rhododendron flowers. You could see it plunging into the deepest part of the flower, searching for the sweet nectar.
Great shot! I never have my camera handy when they come in for a landing!
